Chief Accountant
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, the owner and operator of a premier iGaming platform and with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Chief Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while contributing to financial planning and analysis. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, who possess at least 3 years of experience handling large volumes of financial data, reconciliations, and budget preparation. Membership of a professional accounting body, such as the ACA, ACCA or CPA is required, and experience gained working in the iGaming, FX, and/or Payments industries will be considered a significant advantage. You will need to possess advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and Macros to efficiently process and analyst large data sets. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist
in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy
and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage
and reconcile large volumes of data across multiple accounts, identifying
discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Support
the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, offering insights to
aid strategic decision-making.
- Leverage
advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) to efficiently
process and analyse large datasets.
- Ensure
all financial records are maintained in alignment with regulatory
requirements and internal policies.
- Work
cross-functionally with various departments to support financial planning,
reporting, and operational decision-making.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's
degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Member
of a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
- Minimum
3 years of experience handling large volumes of financial data,
reconciliations, and budget preparation.
- Experience working in the iGaming, Payments and/or FX sectors is highly desirable.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software.
- Strong
attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to clearly communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
