CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a highly reputable and long-standing Group operating in the Travel & Tourism sector, we are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager (Cruise Lines) to join their growing team based in Cyprus. As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on the promotion of Cruise Line services for a major cruise line operating in the GCC region, with a particular focus on territories including Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. This role combines business development, trade marketing, and operational support, requiring both a commercial mindset and strong organizational skills. The successful candidate will be based in Cyprus and will travel to the GCC region to conduct sales visits, presentations, and attend trade events. We are seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism Management, or related field, who possess 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the travel, hospitality, or cruise industry. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience. With offices based in both Nicosia & Paphos, our client offers a Hybrid working model, with access to the physical office in either or both cities for onsite work.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan for the assigned GCC territories in collaboration with company management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and key trade partners across the GCC region.
  • Conduct regular visits to the GCC region for sales meetings, training sessions, and participation in trade shows or promotional events.
  • Provide daily support to travel agents from Cyprus, including handling bookings, resolving operational issues, and ensuring high levels of service.
  • Manage digital communications and content, including:
    • Updating the company website with new cruise products, offers, and news.
    • Coordinating and creating social media content to promote the cruise line and engage travel trade audiences.
    • Preparing and distributing regular newsletters and marketing emails to travel agents and partners.
  • Liaise with the cruise line’s regional and head office teams to ensure alignment on sales initiatives, promotions, and content.
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare business reports and market feedback for management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on promotional campaigns and events.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the travel and tourism (preferably in the cruise industry).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media management, or content creation for travel audiences.
  • Knowledge of the GCC travel and cruise markets is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and develop successful partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the GCC region.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, web-based tools, and reservation or CRM systems preferred.
