CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Group of Companies that specialise in the construction and development of luxury residential projects in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join their growing team based in Larnaca. The successful applicant must be well versed in the principles of accounting and bookkeeping and will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field. Our client is seeking applicants that hold approximately 3+ years of experience working in a similar role and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. A competitive remuneration package is available, based on skills and experience. This is a Part-Time role with working hours between 8am - 1pm or 9am - 2pm.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Raise and issue invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Process purchase payments to our suppliers, maintaining good vendor relationships.
  • Perform comprehensive bookkeeping for all companies, including coordinating with external accountants.
  • Oversee the management and disbursement of petty cash funds.
  • Accurately record all accounting entries in the financial system.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT return forms, complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the funds of the company's clients on a daily basis to ensure proper handling and accuracy.
  • Communicate regularly with payment providers, keeping all records current and accurate.
  • Prepare detailed monthly reports to assist in financial monitoring and decision-making.
  • Handle all filing and data entry tasks to ensure records are well-organized and accessible.
  • Coordinate with the project manager to obtain final approval on tender submissions.
  • Manage all accounting aspects related to property management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper is a must.
  • Must be well versed in the principles of accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
