CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Banking Institution with expanding operations in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Banking Operations Officer to join their growing team. As a Banking Operations Officer, you will handle a variety of banking-related tasks including processing daily banking transactions, reconciling nostro and internal accounts, and preparing manual outgoing SWIFT payments. You will need to possess proven experience in a relevant role within banking operations, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek & English. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer, which includes both a 13th and 14th salary, as well as excellent working hours from 08:00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Process all daily banking transactions (payments, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, remittances).
  • Reconcile nostro and internal accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate FX deals and interbank placements.
  • Prepare manual outgoing swifts and queries to correspondent banks.
  • Monitor money flow for the Bank and all correspondent bank accounts.
  • Produce daily foreign currency rates on the Bank’s system.
  • Opening and renewing customers fixed deposits on the Bank’s system and maintaining customers’ deposits registry (excel spreadsheet/hard copy).
  • Filing and maintaining registries.
  • Register and send all outgoing mail.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in banking operations, back-office functions.
  • Knowledge of core banking systems and SWIFT.
  • Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with AML/KYC requirements and banking regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek & English are a must.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Outstanding administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
