CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Banking Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Banking Officer, you will be a key member of the corporate administration team, and will be responsible for managing all aspects of bank account opening and relationship maintenance for portfolio companies. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 3+ years of experience in corporate banking, onboarding, or a similar role within Cyprus’s financial services or fiduciary sectors. You will need to have a strong understanding of corporate bank account processes, KYC/AML and banking regulations, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience. Flexible working hours are offered 08.30/09:00 – 16:30/17:00 Monday to Friday, along with the option to work remotely each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the end-to-end process for opening new corporate bank accounts in Cyprus and internationally.
  • Prepare, submit, and proactively track all required bank application forms and KYC documentation and handle the maintenance of all existing accounts.
  • Ensure adherence to internal AML/KYC policies, Cypriot banking regulations, and international standards throughout all banking activities as well as conformity to all internal procedures.
  • Respond to and handle the ongoing KYC/AML exercises and incoming requests related to the maintenance of the bank accounts of portfolio companies and the relationships with the various banks and financial institutions.
  • Maintain records of all banking correspondence and documentation exchanged.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • 3 years in corporate banking, onboarding, or a similar role within Cyprus's financial services or fiduciary industry.
  • Strong understanding of corporate bank account processes, KYC/AML and banking regulations.
  • Excellent Greek and English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented, strong organisational skills, proactive, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn.
  • Highly ethical, trustworthy, reliable, and discreet.
