CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a full-service boutique law firm providing a variety of legal services locally and abroad, we are seeking to recruit a Banking Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will handle a wide range of banking related duties including managing customer banking relationships, account opening and closing, bank transfers, conditions negotiation, and dispute resolution. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Finance, Business Administration, or another related field, who possess 2+ years of previous experience in banking, financial services, or corporate services with a focus on banking affairs. Strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance issues is a must along with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You will need to be fluent in both Greek and English and any experience working in a banking institution, law firm, accounting firm or service provider will be considered an advantage. Our client offers an attractive remuneration package based on skills and experience that includes a 13th salary.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage customer banking relationships, including account opening and closing, bank transfers, conditions negotiation, and dispute resolution.
  • Facilitate financial transactions, including investments, loans, mergers, and acquisitions, making sure all paperwork is correct and compliant.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and lawyers to create financial arrangements that support both legal requirements and corporate goals.
  • Perform due diligence and KYC on banking operations, assessing risks, and suggesting countermeasures.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and banking rules in order to give clients well-informed advice and direction.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns about banking issues in a timely and courteous manner.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or corporate services with a focus on banking affairs.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance issues.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, including the capacity to establish trust with clients and other interested parties.
  • Experience working in a Banking Institution, Law Firm, Accounting Firm or Service Provider.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in using pertinent tools and software, such as the Microsoft Office Suite and banking applications.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance norms and procedures.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Proven track record of building strong client connections and providing excellent service.
