CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a licensed Financial Services Company, and Electronic Money Institution, we are seeking to recruit a Back-Office Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Back-Office Officer, you will handle a range of duties including the monitoring of transactions, the safekeeping and administration of Financial Instruments, as well as the preparation of various reconciliations and reports. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a business-related subject with knowledge in Accounting, Business, Economics, and/or Finance. Previous experience working in Financial Services, Banking, Payment Institutions, and/or EMI’s will be considered an advantage, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the monitoring of transactions.
  • Responsible for the safekeeping and administration of Financial Instruments, including custodianship and related services.
  • Responsible for controlling the granting of technical/temporary credits or loans to clients.
  • Preparation of reconciliations, daily and monthly reports.
  • Preparation of Client Statements.
  • Assist and coordinate with the Customer Support, Treasury, Payments, and Compliance departments.
  • Perform any additional work assigned.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Preferably a degree in a Business-related subject with knowledge in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance.
  • Previous relevant experience (2-3 years) in Financial Services, Banking, Payment Institution, and EMI would be considered an advantage.
  • Computer literate, with very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Willing to learn and eager to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in Greek and English languages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Team player.
