CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a number of Auditors with varying levels of experience to join their growing team based in the heart of Nicosia. The successful applicant will work as part of an established and expanding team responsible for undertaking the audit of small and medium-sized firms, on behalf of both local and international clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field and candidates who are either Part or Fully ACA/ACCA qualified are encouraged to apply. You must possess at least 2+ years of previous experience in the audit field as well as sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Audit standards (ISAs). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Auditing of both local and international clients.
  • Keeping Senior Managers up to date with the progress throughout the course of an assignment.
  • Communicating with clients and authorities.
  • Ensure that Audit programs, Financial Statements and other related documents are prepared in accordance with the firms standards and generally acceptable principles.
  • Participate in various stages of audits, analytical reviews, budgeting, planning, working papers, correspondence, financial statement preparation, disclosures and assist in the administrative functions.
  • Assist in the execution and completion of audit engagements in a wide variety of industries and assume responsibility for completing engagements and projects assigned.
  • Travel to other cities in some cases for onsite meetings.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance or other related fields.
  • Qualified or partly qualified ACCA /ACA.
  • Experience in a similar position 2-3 years.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English Language (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent communication skills and being able to work in a team.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and payroll software will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Fast learner.
