CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an ACCA approved employer providing Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Auditor to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a member of the Audit & Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of both local and international clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally working towards a relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA), who possess previous experience in a relevant audit role. You will need to have a sound understanding of auditing standards (IASs) and IFRS, and fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, performance-based bonus, and hybrid working options. Working hours are from 08:00 – 16:30 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 to 14:00 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Participating in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements and delivering high-quality work.
  • Conducting audit engagements in compliance with relevant auditing standards and regulations.
  • Reporting to Audit Manager regarding status, progress and completion of audits.
  • Communication with clients via emails/phone.
  • Provide assistance to other team members as required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background in a relevant field is desirable.
  • Ideally working towards the ACA/ACCA/CPA accounting qualification.
  • Proven experience in a relevant Audit role.
  • Understanding of auditing standards (IASs) and IFRS.
  • Knowledge of Caseware software.
  • Fair knowledge of the Cyprus taxation system.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Very good knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and spoken.
