CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax-related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Audit Supervisor to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As an Audit Supervisor you will be responsible for planning, directing, and reviewing all phases of audit engagement, as well as training and mentoring less experienced members of the audit team. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who are ideally either fully qualified, or working towards a professional accounting qualification. You will need to possess approximately 5+ years of related experience in the Audit department of an audit firm. Broad knowledge of IFRSs & ISAs and a general tax knowledge is essential, and fluency in both Greek and English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the auditing department.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
  • Developing auditing strategies and methodologies.
  • Training and mentoring junior auditors.
  • Coordinating with management to discuss findings and recommendations.
  • Leading audit projects from planning through to completion.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of audit findings.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks within financial processes.
  • Providing advice and guidance on audit-related issues to Management.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and systems.
  • Implementing best practices in auditing and financial reporting.
  • Conducting follow-up audits to monitor the implementations of recommendations.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or similar is desirable.
  • ACCA/ACA qualification will be considered as an advantage.
  • Approximately 5+ years of audit experience.
  • Fluency in English and Greek.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
  • Caseware Audit International knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
  • Dynamic, innovative, and multitasking.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills.    
  • High attention to detail.
  • Quick learner.
