Audit Senior
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a newly established and growing independent audit and tax consulting firm serving businesses across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Audit Senior to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As am Audit Senior, you will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee audit engagements, and contribute to audit and tax advisory projects in a collaborative, hybrid working environment. The role also involves regular visits to client sites and occasional meetings. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related fields, who are either Part or Fully-Qualified members of a recognised accounting body. You will ideally possess at least 2 years of experience in Audit, with strong audit and assurance skills, including planning, risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and review of financial statements. Fluency in verbal and written Greek and English is essential. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, a 13th salary, performance-related bonus, flexible working hours, one afternoon off per week, and hybrid working options.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients with an allocated
audit fee budget.
- Plan, execute, and oversee audit engagements from
start to completion.
- Review financial statements and ensure compliance
with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
- Identify audit risks and provide practical
recommendations to clients.
- Contribute to tax consulting and advisory
assignments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Monitor project budgets, deadlines, and
deliverables.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting,
auditing, and tax regulations.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal methodologies and best practices.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any
other related field.
- Ideally hold a professional qualification (e.g.,
ACCA, ACA) or working towards one.
- 2+ years of experience in Audit.
- Strong audit and assurance skills, including
planning, risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and review of
financial statements.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax
regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in practical
client situations.
- Proficiency in analytical review,
problem-solving, and attention to detail when evaluating financial data
and internal controls.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of both English and Greek languages (spoken, written).
