CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Tax, Accounting and Advisory Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Audit Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will primarily be responsible for the planning, supervision, and performance of statutory audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA). Our client is seeking applicants who are full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA), who possess approximately 4+ years of relevant professional experience in the audit field. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and hold prior experience managing less experienced audit team members. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning, supervising, and performing statutory audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
  • Review of audit files, working papers and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Managing audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior audit staff.
  • Liaising with clients to obtain audit information and resolve accounting/audit matters.
  • Identifying accounting, audit and compliance issues and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Ensuring that audit assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Assisting in maintaining high audit quality standards and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Supporting partners/directors in the overall management of client portfolios.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Approximately 4+ years of relevant experience in the Audit field is a must.  
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and ISA.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with audit software, data analytics tools, and accounting systems to streamline audit processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Experience in supervising audit teams and managing client engagements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
