CareerFinders, on behalf of a client, a dynamic and long-established Law Firm, we are seeking to recruit an Associate Lawyer (Employment Law) join their growing Litigation Department based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for advising on all aspects of employment relationships, and complex employment law issues, including migration procedures. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who are members of The Cyprus Bar Association. You will need to possess approximately 4+ years of experience in Employment Law or related practice areas, with outstanding research and advisory skills, along with strong drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Greek are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Advising on all aspects of employment relationships, complex employment law issues, and procedures, including migration procedures.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts and HR-related policies.
  • Conducting due diligence reviews on employment law issues and procedures, including migration processes, and drafting reports.
  • Conducting thorough investigations into client matters, including performing legal research, analysis, and sourcing expert opinions.
  • Representing clients in court/tribunal proceedings or other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and before competent authorities.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • LLB in Law.
  • Holders of an LLM are encouraged to apply.
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • Approximately 4+ years of experience in Employment Law or related practice areas.
  • Outstanding research and advisory skills.
  • Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Greek.
  • Ability to think critically and approach challenges with a fresh perspective.
  • Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform successfully under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a committed team and supervise junior members.
