CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a highly regarded Law Firm with offices in Larnaca, we are seeking to recruit an Associate Lawyer to join their growing Dispute Resolution Team. As an Associate Lawyer, you will primarily be responsible for handling commercial and corporate litigation files, including drafting pleadings, interim applications, and legal opinions. Our client is seeking applicants who hold an LLB, who are full members of the Cyprus Bar Association. You will need to possess approximately 2+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial and corporate litigation, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. Strong legal research skills, and familiarity with tools such as CyLaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and legal textbooks is also required. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, along with exposure to complex, cross-border commercial litigation.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Handle commercial and corporate litigation files.
  • Draft pleadings, interim applications, and legal opinions.
  • Assist in cross-border disputes, asset tracing, insolvency matters, and arbitration.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare accurate and strategic legal analysis.
  • Attend court appearances and hearings.
  • Manage client communication and provide regular case updates.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Degree in Law (LLB).
  • Cyprus Bar membership.
  • Bar Practice Course (BPC) is considered an advantage.
  • 2+ years of PQE in commercial/corporate litigation.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English.
  • Strong legal research skills and familiarity with tools such as CyLaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and legal textbooks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
