CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Audit Manager to join their expanding team of professionals based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the auditing process, working closely with Senior Management and will be responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of audit engagements. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics and be a full member of a recognised accounting body. Proven experience in the audit field is essential, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, delegate tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative working environment. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Supervision and review of work produced by team members.
  • Auditing of both local and international clients.
  • Keeping Senior Management up-to-date with progress throughout the course of the assignment.
  • Request and review information submitted by clients for completeness and communicate with clients regarding any questions or missing documentation.
  • Ensure that financial statements, client correspondence and other related documents are prepared in accordance with professional and company standards.
  • Identify any potential problems or opportunities for improvement in client’s systems, procedures or operations.
  • Participate in various stages of audits, analytical reviews, budgeting, planning, working papers, correspondence, financial statement preparation, disclosures and assist in administrative functions.
  • Assist in the execution and completion of audit engagements in a wide variety of industries and assume responsibility for completing engagements and projects assigned.

Key Skills/Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another related field.
  • ACA/ACCA Qualified.
  • Proven experience in the Audit field is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, delegate tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with audit software, data analytics tools, and accounting systems to streamline audit processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English (verbal and written).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
