CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established producer of Dairy Products, with expanding operations in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including the recording of daily transactions, maintaining general ledger entries, performing regular reconciliations, supporting the preparation of VAT filings, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or related field, who possess approximately 2+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. You should be familiar with accounting and/or ERP software, such as SoftOne, SAP, E-Soft, or similar, and be proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th Salary and Provident Fund. Working hours are 08.00 - 17.00 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Record daily financial transactions (purchases, sales, expenses, payments).
  • Maintain general ledger entries and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly closings and reporting.
  • Support preparation of VAT filings and social insurance payments.
  • Help prepare documentation for auditors and external accountants.
  • Enter all transactions into the company’s ERP system.
  • Generate reports (stock, cost of goods sold, purchase history, etc.) as requested.
  • Support inventory and procurement tracking via the ERP system.
  • Help train other users on ERP data entry or reporting functions if required.
  • Monitor supplier accounts and assist with payment schedules.
  • Issue invoices and ensure proper filing of financial documents.
  • Assist with payroll processing and timesheet checks (if required).
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, and other external stakeholders as needed.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP/accounting software (e.g., SoftOne, SAP, Esoft, or similar).
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • Basic understanding of Cypriot VAT and tax system is a plus.
  • Fluent in Greek and English.
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Discreet and trustworthy with handling financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
