CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of IT Services & Solutions to a wide range of clients across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team in Limassol. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of our client’s finance department. Your duties will include issuing and reconciling invoices, creating and updating expense reports, maintaining digital and physical financial records, and assisting with the audit process. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another closely related field, who possess approximately 2+ years of proven experience in a relevant role. You will need to be fluent in verbal and written Greek and English, and be a confident user of MS Excel, and ideally any well-known accounting software such as QuickBooks. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday, with a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Create and update expense reports.
  • Process reimbursement forms.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy.
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records.
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
  • Review and file payroll documents.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar is desirable.
  • Holders of the LCCI Higher certification are encouraged to apply.
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant professional experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiarity with local financial regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
