CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long established and highly regarded Family Office with diverse business interests and investments, we are seeking to recruit an Accounts Supervisor to join their growing Financial Reporting team based in Limassol. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager, you will handle a range of accounting duties, including the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, the preparation of financial statements under IFRS, liaising with external auditors, and ongoing financial analysis. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, who are full members of a recognised accounting body. You will need to possess approximately 2+ years of post-qualification experience, with any specific background working for a Multinational Corporation, Investment Bank and/or Family Office considered an advantage, while applicants working for Top 4 Audit & Accounting Firms are also welcome to apply. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly Management Accounts reporting (financial, cash flows, budgets, and other as required) of several entities.
  • Perform reviews, for internal Management reporting, and for the audited Financial Statements.
  • Support to the preparation of financial statements, by providing analyses for disclosures.
  • Liaise with external auditors for any explanations/support required.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidation reports.
  • Perform financial analysis, cost benefit analysis and any other analysis when and if required.
  • Ensuring that all assigned tasks to the team are carried out within the pre-determined deadlines.
  • Providing ongoing and timely support to the accounting team.
  • Providing feedback, guidance, coaching and mentoring as and when necessary.
  • Ensure cross-departmental collaboration and resolving issues that may arise during execution of transactions.
  • Assist in the assessment and oversee tax-related matters.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Income Tax filing, and/or VAT reporting and compliance processes.
  • Assisting in strengthening of internal controls and procedures and maintaining at the same time the efficiency of the department.
  • Always maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal control standards.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the quality of the Company’s accounting following IFRS’s, GAPSME and the Companies’ Act.
  • Perform any ad hoc requests by Management that might arise from time to time.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business or Finance will be considered as an advantage.
  • Full member of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
  • Approximately 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in any of the following industries is highly desirable: Multinational Corporation, Investment Banking institution or Family Office.
  • Experience working for a Top 4 Audit firm will be considered as an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP Systems, Business Intelligence reporting tools, and Consolidation systems, will be considered a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience in Financial Reporting and IFRS Consolidations.
  • Strong familiarity and experience with Cyprus Taxation Law and filing requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
