CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a large, international transportation and logistics Company with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will primarily be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of the Accounts Payable function, including ensuring all invoices are posted in the system, raising purchase orders, and carrying out regular accounting reconciliations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other related fields, who possess approximately 1+ year of proven experience within an accounting position. Any previous experience working in an Accounts Payable function is highly desirable, although full training will be provided. You will need to be fluent in written and spoken English, and possess strong knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel. Our client offers an attractive remuneration package based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of the Accounts Payable function.
  • Posting accounts payable invoices in the system.
  • Raising purchase orders as required.
  • Carrying our regular accounting reconciliations.
  • Monitoring and verifying payments regarding marketing and suppliers’ payment runs ensuring vendors are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handling vendors and Accounts Payable communication.
  • Coordinating between vendors and internal departments for all invoice processing and payments including reconciling of the Purchase Orders and invoices.
  • Supporting Management in ad-hoc and ongoing projects/assignments as required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or another related field.
  • Approximately 1+ years of relevant experience within an accounting role is a must.
  • Previous experience with Accounts Payable functions will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, with excellent proficiency in Excel.
  • Any previous experience working with 1C Accounting software is desirable.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Hard working with good interpersonal skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Work ethic and punctuality.
