CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established specialist marine and corporate travel agency, with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for implementing all accounting processes, procedures and standards, as well as monitoring the accurate execution of financial agreements with clients and suppliers. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Finance, Business Administration or other related fields, who ideally possess approximately 2+ years of relevant work experience, although full training will be provided, and therefore Recent Graduates with appropriate academic backgrounds will also be considered. You will need to be fluent in both Greek and English, and possess strong skills in MS Office, in particular Excel. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Implements all accounting processes, procedures and standards and monitors the accurate execution of financial agreements with clients and suppliers.
  • Maintain accounts payable records ensuring timely payment of invoices.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow statements/forecasts for outgoing payments.
  • Prepare suppliers’ reconciliations and liaise with them to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain the suppliers register and update it regularly.
  • Assist in issuing invoices to clients if required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant work experience is preferred, although full training will be provided.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular Excel.
  • Fluency in Greek and English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
