CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Cyprus Bar Association licensed Administrative Service Provider (ASP) with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will handle a range of duties, including maintaining and preparing accounting records in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS)/IFRS, supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements, and supervising accounting staff and reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and holders of, or those working towards any professional accounting qualifications are welcome to apply. You will need to possess 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, be fluent in both Greek and English, and be a confident user of accounting software such as QuickBooks, ZOHO, or similar. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prepare accounting records in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS)/IFRS.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns and VIES.
  • Ensure accurate VAT treatment and reconciliation of VAT accounts.
  • Manage One-Stop Shop (OSS) reporting for cross-border B2C supplies within the EU.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Prepare audit files, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Address auditor queries and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Supervise accounting staff and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance, training, and technical support to junior team members.
  • Allocate tasks and ensure deadlines are met efficiently.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Holders of, or those working towards any relevant accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and VAT regulations.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, ZOHO, or similar.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
