CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international Family Office with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Specialist to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accounting Specialist, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties on behalf of a busy Family Office. As part of your role, you will manage the full expense payment process, maintain accounting records for a diverse portfolio of entities, and assist with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and full members of a recognised accounting body are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 5+ years of experience in the accounting and/or audit field, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, discretionary annual bonus, private medical insurance, and professional training allowance. Working hours are from 09:00 – 18:00 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the full cycle of the expense payment process, ensuring timely execution of payments (handling invoices, recording expenses, payment).
  • Maintain accounting records for a diverse portfolio of entities.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and policies.
  • Assist in financial statements preparations and management reporting (preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and any other required accounting statements or financial reports).
  • Tax and compliance reporting.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Educated to degree level from a well-respected University.
  • Approximately 5+ years of accounting or audit experience.
  • Holders of the ACCA/ACA qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • Meticulous approach to work with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on mentality that can handle work independently.
  • Someone attracted by accounting functions with strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Central/Navision or equivalent accounting system is a plus, but not essential.
  • Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
  • High level of discretion.
