CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global provider of Corporate & Fiduciary services with regional offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Services Associate to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Client Services Accounting team, providing a variety of accounting and administration tasks to support the delivery of exceptional service to clients. This position includes the preparation of accounting records under IFRS, management reports and financial statements within the agreed deadlines as requested by the client, as well as supporting the client administration and execution of payments within agreed deadlines. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting or Finance and be a recent member of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA), with proven experience in a relevant position, ideally gained working for an Accounting Firm and/or Corporate Services provider. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing accounting records under IFRS, management reports and financial statements within the agreed deadlines as requested by the client whilst being diligent and alert.
  • Supporting client administration and execution of payments, within deadlines as requested by the client. 
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and intermediaries.
  • Working closely with the accounting, banking, and corporate teams, supporting each other to meet client needs.
  • Ensuring successful implementation of changes which improve operational practices, as agreed with the Client Service Directors.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures and agreed operational and control processes.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another closely related field.
  • Ideally a recent member of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA).
  • Proven experience in a relevant position gained working for an Accounting and/or Corporate Services provider.  
  • Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English.
  • Strong analytical skills, including excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Sound financial reporting skills, including up-to-date knowledge of IFRS.
