CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies with diverse business interests including Real-Estate Investments, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for a carry out bookkeeping for a number of companies operating under the Group. As part of your role, you will conduct regular bank reconciliations, handle invoicing, prepare VAT submissions, and assist with the audit process. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who possess approximately 2+ years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. You will need to be fluent in both Greek and English, with any experience working with accounting software considered desirable. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, and Provident Fund. Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 09:00 – 15:00 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Carrying out bookkeeping for a number of companies under the Group.
  • Coordinating the process of issuing invoices in relation to intra group services.
  • Conducting regular Bank Reconciliations.
  • Handle intercompany balances reconciliations.
  • VAT submissions for companies of the Group that are VAT registered.
  • Assisting with the audit process of Group companies.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable.
  • Holders of the LCCI Higher accounting certification are encouraged to apply.
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping position.
  • Experience working with Cycom/Sofia accounting programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
  • Good knowledge of the Tax for All portal and applicable tax regulations (Social Insurance/GESY/VAT).
