CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Real Estate Investment Firm with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As an Accounting Officer, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties to support the smooth operation of our client’s finance department. Your duties will include recording financial transactions, reconciling bank accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and processing payroll. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, who possess proven experience in a relevant position. Any experience working in the Real Estate sector and/or in an international environment will be considered an advantage, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable (bills) and receivable (invoices).
  • Process payroll.
  • Prepare basic financial reports (e.g. profit & loss, balance sheet).
  • Support accountants during tax preparation or audits.
  • Communicating and liaising with key partners and different departments.
  • Inputting and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
  • Reconcile department expenses.
  • Maintaining filing systems, scanning legal documents.
  • Financial forecasting/modelling.
  • Budgeting for renovation/development projects.
  • Develop and oversee the company’s financial strategy.
  • Oversee cash flow management and capital allocation.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Holders of the LCCI Higher, or any other relevant accounting certification are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role is essential.
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English is a must.
  • Any prior experience working in the Real Estate Sector and/or within International environments is desirable.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
