CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Accounting & Financial Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accounting Officer, you will be an essential part of our client’s finance team, playing a hands-on role in driving accuracy, efficiency, and insight across their financial operations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, who possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel is essential, and experience in the Financial Services industry will be considered an advantage. Fluency in English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accounting books and records on a daily basis.
  • Update, verify, and maintain accounting journals and ledgers.
  • Prepare and maintain bank records of multicurrency bank accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily and monthly bank balances and movement reports.
  • Prepare payments of expenses and other creditors for approval.
  • Prepare banks and PSP reconciliations.
  • Prepare supplier reconciliations and liaise with them to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of Management reports including TB, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of Accounting software.
  • Fluency in the English language, oral and written.
  • Self-motivated, energetic with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and critical thinking.
