CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly regarded Real Estate Construction & Development company, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful applicant will handle a range of accounting duties, including extensive double-entry bookkeeping. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field, who hold the LCCI Higher accounting certification. You will need to possess proven experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role, and any previous experience working with E-Soft accounting software will be considered an advantage, and strong knowledge of MS Excel is a must. Fluency in both Greek and English is essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Regular reporting to the Accounting Manager.
  • Accounting entries (transactions, reconciliations, reporting, debtors' receipts, allocations, purchases etc…).
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Monthly reconciliations of Debtors, Creditors and Bank accounts.
  • Cooperation with the external auditors to carry out the annual audit.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned by Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar is desirable.
  • Holders of the LCCI Higher qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role is a must.   
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek & English languages.
  • Experience using the E-Soft accounting program is considered an additional qualification.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
