CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading consulting, technology, and outsourcing services firm serving clients in more than 30 countries, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, including invoicing, reconciliations, reporting, and statutory compliance. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who are ideally full members of a recognised accounting body. You should possess approximately 4+ years of relevant experience in the accounting field, with strong knowledge of accounting standards, VAT, and statutory reporting. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger postings.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for projects, support agreements, licenses, and cloud subscriptions.
  • Support revenue recognition and contract-based billing activities.
  • Perform customer, supplier, bank, and GL reconciliations.
  • Monitor receivables, follow up on outstanding balances, and support cash flow management.
  • Prepare accruals, deferrals, and prepayments for month-end and year-end close.
  • Assist with VAT returns, statutory filings, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports on receivables, payables, and key accounting balances.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (auditors, banks, suppliers, clients).

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in accounting or financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, VAT, and statutory reporting.
  • Experience in project accounting and contract-based environments.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
