Accountant
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Professional Services with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accounting services to a small portfolio of high value clients of the firm. As part of your role, you will prepare balance sheets, income statements, and activity reports on behalf of clients, and ensure accounting records are prepared in accordance with IFRS. Our client is seeking applicants who hold 3+ years of relevant experience, who are fluent in both verbal and written English. You will need to be a confident user of MS Excel, with any knowledge of QuickBooks. ZOHO Books and/or VT Transaction software considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience. Our client is happy to consider applicants seeking both full-time employment, as well as those seeking reduced hours of approximately 25-30 hours per week.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare balance sheets, income
statements, and activity reports according to client’s needs
- Liaise with providers and/or
associates for handling payments on behalf of clients.
- Ensure the company follows all
tax laws and financial rules.
- Accounting records preparation
under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- VAT/VIES/OSS Return forms
preparation and submission.
- Payroll preparation.
- Responsible to effectively communicate with the clients/external auditors and respond to their queries efficiently and effectively.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Accounting
or any other related field.
- At least 3 years of experience
in a relevant position.
- Excellent command of the
English Language, both verbal and written.
- Excellent knowledge of MS
Office applications, including Excel.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Accounting software, ZOHO Books and VT Transaction will be considered an advantage, but not essential.
