CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a highly diversified Group of Companies with international activities in the Marine, Offshore and Energy industries, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, and holders of the LCCI Higher accounting certification are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess 2+ years of experience in a similar role, as well as strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and any ad hoc reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns and staying up to date with relevant tax legislation.
  • Assist in the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or LCCI Higher Level (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Fluency in both English and Greek (written and spoken).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
