CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a prestigious Hospitality & Real Estate Development company, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Paphos. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date bookkeeping, and serving as the primary contact for accounting queries. Your core responsibilities will include reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, preparing bank payments and deposits, and assisting with cost analysis for budgeting and forecasting. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and those working towards any professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess 3+ years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping position, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, provident fund, medical insurance, and more! Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and maintain bookkeeping and accounting records.
  • Assist with analysis of actual costs for budget and forecast process.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare bank payments and deposits.
  • Ensure that all pending credit invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Assist in invoicing, cash collection and depositing in related banks.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all accounting deadlines.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background in a relevant field of study such as Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar is desirable.
  • Applicants working towards the ACCA Qualification are welcome to apply.
  • Holders of the LCCI Higher are encouraged to apply.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping position is essential.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in data processing, supplier reconciliations, and query resolution.
  • Able to monitor and manage workload, especially around month end, to ensure that reporting deadlines are met.
  • Knowledge of Navision software would be an advantage.
  • Basic Excel skills.
