Accountant
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies providing clients with a range of services including Bunker Trading, Cargo Trading, Chartering, and Ship Operations, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. Reporting to the CFO, the successful applicant will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties including invoicing, assisting with reconciliations, executing supplier payments, and supporting the accounting department with additional administrative tasks as needed. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and who possess previous experience in a similar role, with any prior exposure to the Shipping sector considered an advantage, but not essential. You will need to be familiar with accounting principles and financial reporting, and have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Fluency in both verbal and written English is essential, with any knowledge of the Russian language considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assisting
with reconciliations (Debtors/Creditors/Bank accounts).
- Responsible
for Invoicing.
- Executing
payments to suppliers.
- General
bookkeeping.
- Support
the accounting department with additional administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist
CFO on various matters such as KYC and work with corporate documents,
including opening bank accounts.
- Discuss
confidential company matters with tax and legal advisors.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity
with accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Previous
experience in a similar accounting and bookkeeping role is a must.
- Prior
experience working in the Shipping sector will be considered an advantage.
- Sound
knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong
attention to detail and accuracy.
- Fluent
in both verbal and written English.
- Knowledge of the Russian language is a plus.
