CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Financial Services, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our client’s finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or another related field, who possess at least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar roles, with a sound understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel is essential, along with prior experience working with accounting software. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience, which includes 25 days of fully paid annual leave, private health insurance, pension plan, and 1 day of remote working per week. Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30 or 09:00 – 18:00.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily client money reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process client deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and refunds in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handle borrower repayment processing and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records
  • Support the finance team in various accounting and financial tasks as needed.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in similar roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
