CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies, with diverse business interests and investments, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping across multiple entities, perform intercompany reconciliations, and reviewing and reconciling bank statements. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, who possess approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role. You will need to be proficient with accounting software, and be an advanced user of MS Excel, including data analysis and reporting tools. Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and investments in securities, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations is essential. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a generous base salary, 13th salary, and flexible working hours, including an early finish each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping across multiple entities.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review and reconcile bank statements, process bank transaction advices and setup payments.
  • Track and record investment portfolio activity, ensuring proper classification and valuation of investments.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for management review.
  • Conduct reconciliation of accounting records, ensuring consistency between the general ledger and source documents.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support audit preparation and provide documentation as required.
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and internal controls.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and investments in securities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with multi-entity structures and intercompany transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Experience in a multi-entity or international business environment.
