CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a fast-growing Group, offering expertly designed, fully-furnished apartments across Cyprus and The Middle East, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join our growing Finance Department based in Limassol. As part of the team responsible for managing finance operations in both Cyprus and Dubai, you will handle bank reconciliations, posting expenses, customer billing, credit control and collection activities. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another related field, and holders of the LCCI Higher qualification are encouraged to apply. Our client is seeking applicants with approximately 1-2 years of professional experience in a similar position, and any knowledge of VAT (ideally of real estate/property management), SDC and GESY will be considered a significant advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain the accuracy of financial records, including income, expenses, receivables, payables and banks.
  • Perform reconciliations of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Process customers' billings and collections.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the coordination of audits and respond to audit inquiries as needed.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing financial information and analysis for decision-making.
  • Operate internal controls relating to integrity of accounting data and application of operating policies.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable.
  • LCCI Higher accounting certificate is a plus.
  • Approximately 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position is essential.
  • Knowledge of VAT, SDC & GESY is a plus.
  • Prior Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
