CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of cloud-based accounting, compliance, and advisory solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an AML & Compliance Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an AML & Compliance Officer, you will join an established Compliance Team, and will play a key role contributing to the effective delivery of services to a diverse client portfolio. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who ideally possess 1+ of relevant experience in Compliance, AML, KYC or similar. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and possess excellent organisational and time management skills. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Performing client acceptance, reacceptance, and risk assessment procedures.
  • Collecting and reviewing KYC documentation to ensure accurate and complete client profiles.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper maintenance of AML data and supporting documentation for all clients.
  • Conducting AML and other regulatory compliance procedures in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding and documenting clients’ business activities and economic profiles.
  • Identifying potential compliance risks and proposing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Assisting with independence and conflict-of-interest assessments where required.
  • Supporting the team with additional compliance-related tasks, as necessary.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including the filing and organization of KYC documentation.
  • Support other departments by requesting, collecting, and coordinating required compliance-related information.
  • Provide support to the Firm’s MLRO and Deputy MLRO, as required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Hold a university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline).
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in Compliance, AML/KYC or a related field will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in both Greek and English, written and spoken.
  • Motivation and ambition to build and develop a career in Compliance.
  • A genuine interest in the business environment and regulatory landscape.
