CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long established and highly regarded Family Office with diverse business interests and investments that include the Shipping industry, we are seeking to recruit a Legal & Compliance Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Legal & Compliance Officer, you will provide key support to the Compliance Manager, as well as reviewing and preparing a variety of legal documents and agreements as required. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Law, Business Administration or similar, who possess a minimum of 2 years experience working in compliance and/or the corporate department of a law firm. Excellent communication skills in English are essential. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting and supporting the Compliance Manager.
  • Liaising with external Legal Consultants.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation/forms in a timely manner i.e. CRS, FATCA , subscription booklets, account opening forms etc…
  • Reviewing legal agreements and the preparation of simple legal documents.
  • Maintaining records and filing documents.
  • Keeping track of regulatory developments.
  • To be flexible beyond job description.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University Degree in Law, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a compliance department and/or corporate department of a law firm.
  • Knowledge of AML procedures, KYC/CDD etc…
  • Excellent command of English both verbal and written.
  • Broad thinker, able to take initiative.
  • Professional handling of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Integrity of character and strong worth ethic.
  • Team player.
  • Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and produce tidy, structured and accurate work.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office & Visio).
  • Good administrative skills for organizing and filing documents.
  • Be loyal, focused,  supportive, reliable and punctual.
