CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a fast-growing Group, offering expertly designed, fully-furnished apartments across Cyprus and The Middle East, we are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and preparing reports relating to purchase orders and costs. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any other relevant field, and possess proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar. As a Purchasing Officer, you will need to have a good understanding of supply chain procedures, along with solid analytical skills to ensure you identify the most profitable deals. Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in Arabic will be considered as an advantage. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer to the successful applicant.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Actively search for potential vendors.
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
  • Oversee the order lifecycle, from placement to delivery, ensuring timely receipt of products.
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
  • Prepare reports on purchases and forward them to the Operations and Design team for approval.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
  • Facilitate the movement of goods from suppliers to our warehouse or direct project sites.
  • Address and resolve after-sales issues, managing warranty claims as necessary.
  • Process payments.
  • Inventory control and maintenance of warehouse stock.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
  • Prepare weekly procurement reports to management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other closely related disciplines.
  • Proven experience working as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in vendor management and supply chain operations, preferably worldwide.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
