CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to Senior Management, the successful applicant will be responsible for handing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties on behalf of a number of clients. We are seeking applicants who are ideally educated in the fields of either Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, who possess proven professional experience working for an Audit, Accounting and/or Corporate Services provider. You will need to be fluent in both Greek & English, and any experience of working with Caseware will be considered an advantage. A highly competitive salary based on skills and experience, as well as flexible working hours, that allow for a 4:00pm finish each day is available. Our client is located on the outskirts of Nicosia, between Pera Chorio and Dali.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Handling of accounting and bookkeeping on behalf of a portfolio of clients.
  • Performing debtors, creditors & bank reconciliations.
  • Handling of Payroll on behalf of clients.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT, VIES reports on behalf of clients.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external AML requirements.
  • Liaising with the Audit department.
  • Assistance with the preparation of Financial statements.
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned by Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar is desirable.
  • Holders of any relevant accounting certifications/qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience working for an Accounting, Audit or Corporate Services provider is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek & English.
  • Knowledge of Caseware will be considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
