Lead Backend Developer (PHP/Laravel)
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding Group of Companies providing operating in the technological sectors, we are seeking to recruit a Lead Backend Developer (PHP/Laravel) to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for managing the development team and building development processes. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or another related field, who possess previous working experience as a PHP Backend Developer of 5+ years. In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel Framework along with hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, and REST API design is a must. Previous experience within the FinTech or FX Industries will be considered an advantage. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package which competitive salary and bonus system. Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, 5 days a week.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Management
of the development team (planning, organization, control, distribution of
tasks within the team).
- Building
development processes.
- Product
development, improvement of current functionality.
- Implementation
of architectural solutions.
- Organizing
and conducting code reviews.
- Ability
to analyze and solve problems, make decisions and be responsible for the
result.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree
in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
- Approximately
5+ years of previous working experience as a PHP Backend Developer.
- In
depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and the Laravel Framework.
- Hands
on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design.
- MySQL
profiling and query optimization.
- Excellent
command of the English & Greek languages both verbal and written.
Nice to Have:
- Full-stack
development experience.
- Previous
experience within the FinTech or FX Industry.
- Experience
in payment systems integration.
- Publicly available code examples (GitHub, etc.).
