CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading Corporate Services provider offering a wide range of services, including Corporate, Tax and Accounting to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Assistant Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of tax related duties including, drafting, or assisting in the drafting of Tax Rulings & Tax memos and advising and/or assisting in advising on corporate direct tax and personal direct tax matters. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Law, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess approximately 5 years of relevant working experience in the tax sector, with familiarity in the Cyprus Direct Tax Laws, interpretative circulars, and practice. Full members of the ACA/ACCA are encouraged to apply and knowledge of international tax and/or European tax developments will be considered an advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Drafting or assisting in the drafting of Tax Rulings & Tax memos.
  • Advising and/or assisting in advising on corporate direct tax and personal direct tax matters.
  • Compliance direct tax related tasks, such as reviewing of Financial Statements from direct tax perspective, preparation and filing of personal and corporate income tax returns.
  • Assisting in compiling Transfer Pricing Studies
  • Any other Direct Tax related tasks.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree with a background in Accounting, Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • ACCA or ACA qualified will be considered an advantage.
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant working experience in tax is essential.
  • Familiarity with Cyprus Direct Tax Laws, interpretative Circulars, and practice.
  • Knowledge of international tax and/or European tax developments will be considered as advantage.
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and individually.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
