CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Corporate Lawyer to join their growing team. Working as part of the in-house legal department, the successful applicant will assist with the preparation, review, and execution of various corporate administration services of active companies operating within the Group. An academic background relating to Law is highly desirable and you will need to possess approximately 1+ year of previous experience in a similar role, working for either a Corporate Service Provider, Legal Firm or in an in-house capacity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Preparation, review and execution of various corporate administration services and administration documents of the companies within the Group.
  • Ensure proper record keeping of agreements and other legal documentation and organize the Legal Department’s filing system. 
  • Ensure that all necessary changes that need to be made with the applicable corporate authorities and/or agents and any applicable corporate reporting obligations are made appropriately and on time.
  • Handling the account opening process of Bank and Liquidity Providers' accounts, and completion of account opening related tasks, such as granting authorizations and appointing signatories.
  • Ensure that all certificates and KYC information and documentation concerning the Group companies and its officers are updated and kept in file.
  • Perform registrations in authorities or other bodies as it might be required and execute applications and other related documentation. 
  • Liaising with Banks, Liquidity Providers, Registrar of Companies and other authorities or bodies as may be required.
  • Drafting and collecting signatures of basic legal agreements, resolutions, minutes and/or any other documentation as may be required.
  • Assist the legal department in implementing and updating policies, procedures and relevant logs and records in compliance with GDPR and other data privacy laws applicable to the organization. 
  • Assist the legal department in any other tasks as it might be required from time to time.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Educated to degree level in Law or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position is a must.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite Package (Outlook, Word, Excel and Office 365).
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills are a must.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
