CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established R&D company with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Assistant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will keep track of the quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency of procured materials and record the related information in SAP. An academic background relating to Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or another related field will be considered an advantage and at least 1+ year of experience working in a similar warehousing role is a must. Previous experience working with SAP will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Receive materials.
  • Pack and unpack items.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for defects and report any accordingly.  
  • Mark stock items using identification labelling equipment.
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data using SAP.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness target.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Ideally educated to degree level in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or any other relevant field.
  • 1+ year of previous warehouse experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in logistics operations and warehousing (storage, dispatch and receipts).
  • SAP experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with Safety Management, Inventory Control & Equipment Maintenance.
  • Familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Strong communication skills to allow effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Good organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data entry and computer skills required (Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word).
