Quality Assurance Engineer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international Investment Firm with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for writing high-quality test cases both for manual and automated execution, working closely with the Development and Project/Product Management teams to ensure any defects within software systems and solutions are identified and resolved. You will ideally hold an academic background in Computer Science or any other relevant field and possess approximately 3+ years of previous quality assurance experience with both manual and automated testing.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Writing
high-quality test cases both for manual and automated execution.
- Execution
of automated test suites and provide reports on the analysis of results.
- Review
requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
- Interact
with the business to understand product requirements.
- Perform
stress test scenario on high availability products.
- Work
closely with the development team and project/product management.
- Investigate
client reported problems.
- Keep
track of quality metrics.
- Verify
that the final product meets the requirement.
- Analyze
product features and suggest changes to enhance them to make them more
efficient and user friendly.
- Stay up
to date with the latest industry developments, standards and regulations.
- Optimize the testing process.
Key Skills/Experience:
- BSc/MSc
in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Approximately
3+ years of experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Experience
in testing Web and Client/Server applications.
- Understanding
of software QA methodologies, processes, and automation frameworks.
- Experience
in analyzing software specifications, designing, implementation and
executing of test cases and procedures.
- Working
knowledge of test management tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr ...etc.).
- Excellent
analytic, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Attention
to detail.
- Team
player with a sense of responsibility and accountability, self-motivated
- Working
knowledge of automated applications such as Katalon Studio (Selenium)
,Postman for Web APIs.
- Experience
understanding of SCRUM Methodology.
- Working
knowledge of SQL
- Working
knowledge of Jira and Confluence and GIT.
- Experience
web technologies, software development and testing using programming
languages
- Forex industry experience would be a bonus, but not essential.
