Logistics Officer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established Group of Companies with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Logistics Officer to join their growing team. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for coordinating and optimising the supply chain life cycle, including logistics, warehousing and transportation. An academic background in a relevant field is highly desirable and approximately 2+ years of relevant professional experience within a similar role is a must. You will be fluent in both Greek & English and any previous experience working with ERP systems will be considered an advantage.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Strategically
plan and manage logistics, warehousing and transportation.
- Direct,
optimize and coordinate the full order cycle.
- Liaise
and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and shipping agents.
- Keep
track of quality standards, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs
and efficiency.
- Arrange
and plan routes and process shipments.
- Resolve
any arising problems or complaints.
- Meet
cost and timeliness targets.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Ideally
educated to degree level in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineer,
or a related field.
- Approximately
2+ year of professional experience in Supply
Chain/Operations/Logistics/Warehousing.
- Fluent
English and Greek, both verbal and written.
- Experience
with ERP systems such as Exact, SAP etc... is highly advantageous, but not
essential.
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
