Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform
month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal
entries.
- Coordinate
with management to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Generate
financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
- Analyze
financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Monitor
expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report
the same to Management.
- Respond
to accounting enquiries from Management in a timely fashion.
- Provide
guidance to other Accountants when needed.
- Assist
in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned
accounts.
- Assist
in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing
requested documentations.
- Monitor
and record financial transactions according to company policies and
regulations.
- Review
and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
- Analyze
the efficiency and utilization of the professional staff and report to
Management.
- Prepare
management reports on a project by project basis in terms of profitability
and variations from budgets.
- Prepare
and submit company VAT returns.
- Monitor
the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll,
invoicing and other transactions.
- Oversee
financial department employees, including financial assistants and
accountants.
- Track
the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for
potential improvement.
- Seek
out methods for minimising financial risk to the company.
- Research
and analyse financial reports and market trends.
- Provide
insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in
long-term and short-term decision making.
- Review
financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
- Present
financial reports to board members, executives, and clients in formal
meetings.
- Stay up
to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for
financial purposes.
- Establish
and maintain financial policies and procedures for the Company.
- Understand
and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's
degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field or equivalent
combination of relevant education and experience.
- Approximately
5+ years’ experience in an accounting role and previous experience in a
Finance Department will be considered as an advantage.
- Previous
experience and knowledge on Saudi Tax and VAT calculations would be highly
advantageous.
- Previous
experience working in the MENA district would be highly advantageous.
- Experience
in using computerized accounting systems.
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic are a must.
- Computer
literacy: Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, mainly Excel
& Word.
- Responsible,
trustworthy and loyal, with strong communication skills.
- Must be
able to work both independently and as a part of a team in a pressurized
and multi-tasking environment.
- Quick
learner, attention to detail, problem solving and result oriented personality.
- Efficient
time management skills and ability to work under pressure and strict
deadlines.
- Detail
oriented and professional demeanour.
- Confident
in interacting with and influencing individuals at all levels within or
outside the organization.
- Pleasant
personality with a strong initiative.
