CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a newly established Investment Firm in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their expanding team. The successful applicant will be a full member of the ACCA/ACA and possess a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar senior-level finance position. Proven financial monitoring experience ideally relating to Real Estate and/or alternative investment funds will be considered highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills in Greek & English are a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

Investment Entity Accounting:

  • Oversight and coordination of the SPVs accounting processes, ensuring the quality and timely flow of financial data and documentation from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of financial statements in IFRS for holding companies and property companies.
  • Oversight and coordination with external advisors of monthly and annual tax filings, and annual external financial and tax certificate audits.
  • Accounts receivable including billing of tenants, monitoring of arrears.
  • Accounts payable including invoice processing, monitoring of approvals, and payments.

 Financial Reporting and Management:

  • Instruct and oversee service providers at Fund level and SPV level.
  • Cash management, funding requests and distributions recommendations.
  • Monitoring of bank and intercompany loans, and compliance with loan covenants.
  • Preparation of expense analysis and optimisation of costs across SPVs.
  • Oversee calculation of Fund NAV and communication with Fund Administrators.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting process with financial data.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Strong academics, and a qualified ACA / ACCA with 7+ years overall experience.
  • Strong financial analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure /to tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, and a team player, confident in dealing with people.
  • Experience in alternative investment funds or real estate desirable.
  • Advanced Excel user, and experienced with setting up and using accounting and / or financial statement preparation software.
