Role Overview:
The Medical Devices Application Specialist will be
responsible to rapidly assess, diagnose, and troubleshoot application inquiries
on Biochemistry/Immunology/Hematology analysers’ software to solve customer
challenges. Your aim will be to help our customers identify and troubleshoot
application support incidents via e-mail. Also designing plans to help avoid
problems in the first place is another task to do. You will work to identify
patterns in application issues and figure out ways to stop them in their tracks.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze
customer inquiries to solve problems and develop plans to solve for large
scale issues.
- Maintain
a steady influx of service tickets while prioritizing the most critical.
- Provide
clinical application training on-site and virtually to customers on the
use of the software and hardware on designated equipment.
- Deliver
formal presentations covering the clinical application of the equipment,
its reagents, and consumables.
- Provide
first-level support and problem resolution at the customer's location or
over the phone.
- Overseeing
customer reports and complaints and managing requests, coordinating the
activities required to resolve them so that they are answered and resolved
in a timely manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
- Provide
clear information and data related to customer complaints and ensure
appropriate documentation in the company's quality system.
- Maintain,
refine, and troubleshoot challenges with existing software to make sure it
is up to date.
- Support
sales and marketing department by providing demonstration of systems and
product applications at the customer’s laboratories or during conferences
or customer group meetings (seminars).
- Act as
liaison between end user and appropriate internal sources (marketing and
technical department).
- Provide
feedback to the technical team.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Biological Sciences, or other equivalent degree with 2+years’
experience in servicing medical diagnostic systems.
- PhD or
Postgraduate degree in Biology or other relevant field of study such as
Chemistry, Biochemistry will be highly valued. Alternatively, 2+ years’
experience in the field of medical labs with emphasis on diagnostic
systems.
- Fluency
in Greek and English (Written & Spoken).
- Driving
licence.
- Ability
to travel within Cyprus and abroad.
- Excellent
communication and client service skills.
- Excellent
time management and organisation skills.
- Attention
to detail and willingness to do the reading of material provided for the
job requirements (e.g., manuals).
- A
self-starter mentality with a collaborative, team-player work ethic.
- Analytical
skills and critical thinking with an ability to absorb new technologies
and think outside of the box.
- Ability
to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
