Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee
the daily operations and quality of work for a portfolio of international
clients as well as manage lower-level members of staff working under the
client portfolio.
- Monitor
and analyze accounting data and produce financial client reports and/or
statements.
- Ensure
company policies and procedures are enforced by staff members.
- Be part
of the management team which shall be managing tax and VAT queries
received by internal Departments, with the assistance of external advisors
where necessary.
- Be part
of the management team which shall be analyzing changes in Cyprus
Tax/VAT/SI legislations, preparing and issuing Notifications/Newsletters
for Internal & External publication for these changes, developing
Procedures, Processes and Policies for departments to be implementing
legislations.
- Managing
and reviewing Cyprus Tax & VAT compliance operations of Client
Companies and Individuals under the client portfolio.
- Educating
staff and departments for Tax/VAT/SI matters depending on the educational
needs of the Company, explaining and analyzing internal implementation
Policies and Procedures relating to Tax/VAT/SI.
- Lead ad
hoc projects and manage resources to ensure, implementation, compliance
and accuracy.
- Communicate
with clients either by telephone, e-mails and face to face.
- Liaise
with the auditors/associates.
- Liaise
with government authorities.
- Liaise
with company Directors.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Accounting/Economics/Finance
related degree.
- ACA/ACCA
qualification will be considered as an advantage.
- Member
of the Institute of Cyprus Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) will be
considered as an advantage.
- 4+
years’ experience in the accounting of international clients.
- Experience
in managing resources is not a pre-requisite but will be considered as an
advantage.
- Very
good knowledge of Cyprus tax, VAT and Social Insurance Law and principles
for international clients.
- Experience
with handling CaseWare, Sofia and Cycom software will be considered as a
serious advantage.
- The
candidate ideally should be residing in Larnaca.
- Experience
with International clients shall be considered as an advantage.
- Computer
Literate.
- Fluent
speaking and writing in Greek and English is a pre-requisite.
