Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare
monthly/quarterly management accounts including consolidation in a timely
and accurate manner.
- Assisting
with the preparation of cash flow projections and forecast reports.
- Review
of vessel operating expenses and budget comparison.
- Update
bookkeeping records of ship-owning companies and holding companies
- Assist
with the day-to day activities of the finance team as well as audit
requirements.
- Checking
and authorizing payments.
- Review
the work performed by other members of the accounting department.
- Liaise
with banks and other business associates.
- Ad hoc
projects and/or tasks as assigned by the Management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Relevant
education in the field of Finance / Economics / Accounting or related
field.
- 5+
years of finance and accounting experience ideally within working for a
Shipping and/or Accounting/Audit Firm.
- Knowledge
of IFRS reporting standards is essential.
- Strong
command of written and spoken English is essential.
- Excellent
analytical and presentation skills with high level attention to detail.
- Ability
to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
- Ability
to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent
organization skills.
- Competent
user of MS Excel, MS Word.
- Knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software would
be considered an advantage.
