Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts including consolidation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assisting with the preparation of cash flow projections and forecast reports.
• Review of vessel operating expenses and budget comparison.
• Update bookkeeping records of ship-owning companies and holding companies
• Assist with the day-to day activities of the finance team as well as audit requirements.
• Checking and authorizing payments.
• Review the work performed by other members of the accounting department.
• Liaise with banks and other business associates.
• Ad hoc projects and/or tasks as assigned by the Management.

• Relevant education in the field of Finance / Economics / Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience ideally within working for a Shipping and/or Accounting/Audit Firm.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards is essential.
• Strong command of written and spoken English is essential.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills with high level attention to detail.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Competent user of MS Excel, MS Word.
• Knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software would be considered an advantage.
